Q and Auto-attacks will usually have you covered. Cassia is not really reliant on Rend's damage but rather on its utility. As you said, her kit is based on moving and Rend makes you stay still. I use it as a finisher and occasionally as a gap closer. It's useful in a W-Q-E burst combo but Cassia's bread-and-butter is still Stutterstep Autoattack. It has its uses but I don't rely on it doing damage. It's an ability that does not scale off of her auto-attack. I typically use it as a nice-to-have anyways, since her base kit is usually enough for me. It does have this awkward pause where you have to wait for the ult to go out before you can start getting down to business. Lightning Ball most definitely has a cast time. Every time I use E, I don't anticipate needing to cancel it. I haven't had issues with her E, but that's probably because using E is a deadly commitment. Launch a gravity bomb that detonates after 1 second and draws enemy Heroes toward the center for 2.5 seconds. Lava Wave gains an additional charge and its cooldown is reduced by 30 seconds. When the time comes to E in, really think about it: can you walk in instead and keep Q'ing and AA'ing? Concentrate on maximising her AA uptime and hitting your Qs while staying as safe as you can. With Surge of Light, she can delete squishy heroes quickly too. She does a lot of damage in a short time when she deploys Ball Lightning and Charged Strikes (or stacked Q) on clumped targets. With Cassia, you should not be greedy for burst damage. The best thing you will learn on Cassia is to not push 'E' unless you absolutely, positively have to, or you're in lane and there's no one else and you're waveclearing. It's built deliberately to make her vulnerable when she uses it, so it's only good for finishing off targets, not engaging.
